English Newspapers
Many British newspapers can be bought from kiosks and shops but they are expensive, typically 3€ or more. They are
all printed in Spain using files transmitted via the internet unlike in the past when they came by plane. Presumably they
are expensive because Spain does not receive any advertising income from them. You may choose to read the newspapers
online.
There is a kiosk in Avenida Palma de Mallorca. SuperSol stocks English papers. There is a shop near the bottom of Calle San Miguel, one in Montemar and
one near the bottom of the lift to Playa Bajondillo. There are almost certainly more.
Local Newspapers in English
There are a few English language newspapers available in Torremolinos free of charge. They are available in Tourist
Offices and some bars, cafeterias and shops.
The
EuroWeeklyNews is published on
Thursdays. There is an
online version available. The EuroWeeklyNews claims to be "Spain's largest free local newspaper in
English".
Sur in English is published on Thursdays. Copies can
be downloaded as
PDF files. Sur in English is
probably the best known free paper in the area.
The Olive Press is published once a
fortnight on Wednesdays. There is an
online version
available. It claims to be "The original and only English-language investigative newspaper in Andalusia".
Holiday Guide is published every couple of
months. It isn't really a newspaper but does contain some useful information.
